Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital has received six patient experience awards from national health-care research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). The Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital emergency department; pain management clinic; outpatient surgery; and Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation (STAR) programs including STAR West County, STAR Chesterfield and STAR South County, each earned PRC’s 5-Star Award. This award is given to departments that score in the top 10 percent – at or above the 90th percentile – in overall quality of care.
The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences based on surveys of their patients.
