Pharmacy
The Pharmacy department works alongside physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals to provide all medication management processes in the hospital. Pharmacists provide a variety of clinical services including pharmacokinetic dosing, anticoagulation monitoring and participation on multidisciplinary committees. Pharmacy staff offers a high level of customer service to our patients, as well as our nurses, physicians and other clinical providers.
Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy
Therapists in the department of rehabilitation are valued members of our care team. Opportunities are available providing inpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy. Outpatient opportunities are available at Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation (STAR) center in physical therapy, massage therapy, exercise specialist and sports performance at three locations.
Laboratory
The data acquired from laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. Our College of American Pathologists (CAP)-accredited laboratory has the latest equipment and experienced medical technologists who provide efficient, accurate and reliable outpatient laboratory services. Approximately 20,000 tests are performed each month.
Radiology
Our team of talented radiologic technologists perform a variety of procedures including x –ray and fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT/CTA, MRI/MRA, mammography, bone density, nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology, and advanced services like 3D imaging, breast MRI, cardiac imaging, interventional radiology and MSK ultrasound.
Respiratory Therapy
Registered respiratory therapists perform tests at the Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital pulmonary function laboratory, as well as work alongside physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals to treat patients in our emergency department and in our inpatient units.
